Hydration is one of the most overlooked performance factors in working dogs. A dog that's even mildly dehydrated will show reduced focus, slower responses, and earlier fatigue — all of which look like training problems but are actually management problems. Most dogs drink less when water is warm, which means a standard bowl sitting in the sun on a summer training day is actively working against you.
